I am… slow at work. There. I jinxed myself. I shall (“I shall!” Who’s been reading Charlotte Bronte, recently?) have heaping piles of work come flowing in anon (oh, wait, that’s ME all up in my 19th century British Lit-speak, hallo) but for the moment all’s quiet. And I like it. I took a nap yesterday. I went for a run. Today I finished the last sixty pages of Jane Eyre, and am debating just re-starting it because it’s so damn good.
I scoured Flickr for more friends. I posted some pictures, and read a little in my Photoshop book. I clipped the cats toenails and changed a flat tire. (Or, more accurately, drove lopsided car to Discount Tires who FIXED IT FOR FREE!) I could clean the house, but eh. I’m not quite that bored, yet.
What do you do when you’re bored? I’m looking for non-chore-related inspiration, here.
Herein I write about the inane details of my life, including the arrival of the fabulous and spunkiest toddler EVER, Miss Thang; the evil workings of my two darling hell-minions, my cats; the fabulous love of a dreamy man whom I married, The Funasaurus; my overall dislike of anything exercise-y; and my grand aspirations to one day be the reigning monarch of Norway... and also to hold the record for gallons of cabernet consumed in one happy hour. Oh. And a love of run-on sentences. Bienvenue!

I have tried to read Jane Eyre again- I just can't do it.
I love Jane Austen- but both the Brontes drive me mental.
I dance around the house to music I knew and loved as a teenager. I turn it up loud and try to get through the twist, the mashed potato, the be-bop, the locomotive and the stroll before I'm out of breath...
I picked up Jane Eyre at the classics table at Barnes and Noble many moons ago - perhaps I will attempt to locate it and peruse its many pages . . .
p.s. long story, but I can't wear a dress today . . . sigh . . .

I nap. I re-think the shape of my fingernails. I look through cookbooks- but stop short of doing any actual 'cooking' because that usually involves a drive to the grocery store and I'm never so bored I want to actually... move. Or be productive.
